Hi there, my name is Monica, a qualified exercise to music INSANITY, PiYo and Zumba instructor and a keen trail runner. In September 2013 I was lucky enough to meet and train live, for the first time with the creator of the best Max Interval Training Fitness program. Shaun T! The time has come to share with you, his creation and what became my passion since. I created this group for anyone interested in taking a fun and rewarding fitness challenge with me, to motivate men and women of all fitness levels to enjoy and embrace a healthier lifestyle through regular class exercises and healthy eating. I am adding Zumba and PiYo to my group classes as they are both good compliments to our insanity training as well as a once a month trail run, another of my passions. About insanity: possibly the most difficult, cardiovascular workout on the market today, due to the strenuous pace of each workout. However, the program also offers modifications to most exercises for those who are only just getting back into fitness. It is a total body, circuit training workout that uses only your body weight as resistance. All that is required to perform INSANITY is a good pair of training shoes, and SHEER WILLPOWER. About Zumba: a dance fitness program created by Colombian dancer Alberto Perez, is a Latin inspired cardio dance that uses music and choreographed steps to form a fitness party atmosphere. Classes contain everything from Jazz to African beats to country to hip-hop and pop. About PiYo: a strength, stretch and flexibility workout promising to deliver the training combined. Created by Charlene Johnson, It is powerful, dynamic and will make you work at a high intensity to burn calories, torch body fat and shed unwanted pounds. It features all of the benefits that you get from Yoga and Pilates, including flexibility and core training, but with an added emphasis on cardio and strength training to really make you sweat.
In addition, I admit I am a trail runner lover, very passionate about it and I would also like to encourage my members to try it. We shall be organising Trail running sessions in time. Earlier this year I participated in many coastal trail races in preparation for the Gore-Tex Transalpine trail in in September, completing approx. 147K of beautiful trail running in the Alpes. You will be surprise how much high intensity classes help you to improve your endurance and general fitness for great trail running results. Strong core is a must!
I definitely welcome all levels of fitness to my group, if you worry you are not fit enough, don't! Join the group and you will mark the beginning of a new you. I promise you, you will love it!
