Do you want to improve your humanity more than you want to feel comfortable?

There is no way for a group or anyone else to improve your existence, but if you are not taking real, unsettling chances, then there is no way for you to improve it either. 'I know, that is not a question, but I hope it reminds you to ask some.'

What if people got together mainly because they are people? What if we shared with one another, expressed our desires and fears honestly, and connected without worrying so much about external influences; money, work, cars, technology, activities, etc.? In other words, what if we started at the beginning; with our own humanity? What if we worked together to make a place where ANYONE with ANY label can join and be themselves, as long as they don't hurt or compromise others? I don't know for sure, but I think I we'd finally be on the right track. We have this idea instilled in us, particularly as Americans, that the outside world is the answer; that somewhere out there we can attach to something that will give our lives meaning, whether it's possessions, work, looks, love, homes, cars, military, teaching, TV, movies, video games, religion, atheism, sports, singing, reading, writing, phones, politics, animals, sex, shopping, family, nature, or anything else. This idea is false. Only we determine our own value. It hurts us to assume we are our labels, and not remember that, that is only a secondary effect of our humanity. Let's get together and be human for a while. Let's leave labels at the door, even the virtual one, and deal with our mentality; what determines value in the first place. We won't get anywhere by starting at the end.
I've opened up a site and youtube page for the group- use it, comment, complain- something!
