Hi Jeff.? If you have calls on the Northshore I could most likely help out...I have the boots...need to get some heavy gloves, I will put them in my vehicle.? Lynne

Being the Humane Society of Louisiana, we receive emergency calls for assistance?almost on?a daily basis.?Some of the calls deal with injured animals, and?our few volunteers and I?can no longer keep up with the volume of calls.? For example, we just got a call of a duck with an injured, bleeding?wing, who is?unable to fly (on the New Orleans East levee)? To help us respond, you must have some experience with handling animals, have heavy gloves, boots, ect.
?
Can anyone respond to this complaint?? It may take several hours to get there, rescue the duck (he can't fly), place him in a box or carrier, and take him to a bird specialist on the Northshore.
?
Please respond if you can assist with this complaint or others like it.
?
Sincerely,
?
Jeff
Director
Humane Society of Louisiana
