The HOC is pleased to announce that our January 2013 meeting will feature Marvin Straus.  Last summer Straus gave a talk at the national conference of the Atheist Alliance of America, held in downtown Denver. If you missed his talk then, you now have another chance, because Straus will give the same talk at our HOC meeting!  The topic is the the need for strategic planning in the national atheist movement, and Straus, co-founder of the Boulder Atheists and one of the founders of the Colorado Coalition of Reason (COCORE), is the right person to speak on that topic.

Potluck dinner at 6 pm. Program will begin at 7 pm. Potluck instructions are based upon the first letter of the last name:

A-B) Side Dish
C-D) Main Dish
E-J) Main Dish
K-R) Non-Alcoholic Beverage
S-Z) Dessert

After hours: 9pm- ? Several members of the HOC meet afterwards to continue the discussions at the Bull & Bush, 4700 Cherry Creek South Dr. in Denver. Link: www.bullandbush.com

What a nice bunch of people to hang out with. Marvin's presentation was excellent.

It's always great to see Marvin. And I think an atheist think tank is a good idea. (Though I think we have as much agreement on agendas as we're likely to get from our community, and that we're already moving forward on that. It's really strategies that need to be worked out.)

Marvin is a good friend of mine, and one of the best speakers I have ever listened to. I am really looking forward to this event. Tom Kellogg

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
