The Humanist Center, a joint project of Humanists of Minnesota, the First Unitarian Society, and the Humanist Institute, is hosting its second program of the[masked] season. The lecture will take place on Sunday January 24th at 6:30 PM at FUS and will feature Scott Lohman, President of Humanists of Minnesota, speaking on “Humanism and Pop Culture” 6:30 Socializing 7:00 Lecture
Meet other local Humanists, people who believe in the basic goodness of the human spirit and that the best way to live your life is by the use of reason, critical thinking, empathy, compassion and real-world knowledge.
If you believe in those principles or are interested in learning about them or want to help others learn about humanism join us for our meetings, events and social times.
We usually have a regular chapter meeting on the 3rd Saturday of the month but will send out a reminder to members when the topic/speaker is set (or check the calendar!) In addition, there are many other smaller meetups during the month!
Meetings are open to anyone who is interested in humanism and wants to meet other humanists. But if you want to get the newsletter and financially support our outreach activities, we suggest you become an HofM member by going to humanistsofmn.org and join!
