Fostering Sexual Well-being: Humanist Perspectives

Humanists of Minnesota is teaming up with Minnesota Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (MVUUF) to co-sponsor a monthly “sex ed” series for young adults and young parents.  This first session will focus on the modern polyamory movement.  Randy Frehse, a polyamory advocate from MNPoly, will host a panel discussion.   He and his guests will talk about their personal experience living polyamory, how this family configuration is different than polygamy and how jealousy plays out in their relationships.

Professional childcare will be provided for those who RSVP in advance. Dinner of pizza and beer will be served at 6:30PM and the talk will begin at 7:15PM.  All MVUUF members, friends and fellow humanists are welcome between the ages of 21-40.

This program is being coordinated by Jill Carlson, a licensed therapist, who is an active member in three organizations that advocate humanist values:  MVUUF, Humanists of MN and MN Atheists.  There is no cost for the program thanks to a grant from the Unitarian Universalist Association which has been an advocate of comprehensive, secular-based sex education for decades.

Please contact Jill Carlson for more information and/or to RSVP for childcare.

I had to duck out a little early, but thank you for putting together the presentation/panel. I found the discussion very interesting and educational. The panelists did a spectacular job. I'll be looking forward to the continuation of these (and other) events. I wish I could have stuck around for conversation afterwards.

I'd love to come, however I'll be at a wedding that day.
