Violence Against Women--It's a Men's Issue

Everyone is invited to the Feminist Working Group this month to view and discuss this TED Talk by Jackson Katz, anti-sexism educator, author and co-founder of Mentors in Violence Prevention.

Domestic violence and sexual abuse are often called "women’s issues.” But in his bold, blunt talk, Katz points out that these are intrinsically men’s issues -- and shows how these violent behaviors are tied to definitions of manhood. How can we together, as humanist women and men, call out unacceptable behavior and be leaders of change?

Sorry, but I'll be at a Climate Leadership workshop sponsored by MN350 that weekend until 5 pm. If I can gracefully leave a couple of hours early, and it's not too far by bus, I'll try to show up.
