Join your humanist friends for coloring and board games with the families in Safe Shelter at Tubman’s Friday Family Fun Night. We will be helping to set up, facilitate, and tear down for the event. What a fun way to get out to share some joy in the community!
To enter Tubman, ring the buzzer at the parking lot entrance. Bertina, our site-based point-person, will meet us in the lobby to take us to the party room. If the parking lot is full, we can park across 1st Ave. at the Police Station.
Tubman is a secular non-profit dedicated to helping “women, children and families struggling with relationship violence, substance abuse and mental health…” http://tubman.org/home/about-us/
Afterward we will reconvene for friendly fellowship at the nearby Jackson’s Coffee and Gelato, 822 W. Lake St, Minneapolis.
Volunteers are expected to undergo training to help out at the Tubman Center. The next training is on Jan. 11th. Get trained now to volunteer at future events. For further information contact Nancy Somers at [masked]
