Join your fellow Humanists for Family Fun Night at Tubman Center West. Once a month, we host an evening event for the residents who are staying in the shelter. It is lot of fun and the residents really appreciate all of our efforts. On this night, we will be making paper bag puppets and enjoying lucky green punch and cookies.
Volunteers will meet in the shelter at 6 pm. The program runs from 6:30 to 8:30. We will set up before the program, join the residents for the fun part and then straighten up after.
Afterward we will reconvene for friendly fellowship at the nearby Jackson's Coffee and Gelato, 822 W. Lake St, Minneapolis.
Parking is available in the lot at 3111 First Ave. South. If that lot is full, we can park across 1st Ave. at the Police Station.
To enter Tubman, walk around the building from the parking lot to the Shelter Entrance on 31st Street. Bertina, our site-based point-person, will meet us at this entrance.
