Building a Multicultural & Inclusive Humanist Movement

Join us for a strategic planning session on creating an appropriately inclusive humanist movement.  This event is a follow-up to the discussion begun back in late April with Vanessa Gomez-Brake on this topic.

Humanist ideas span the globe both past and present.  People from all walks of life are looking to connect with others to do good in the world in the here and now.  How do we recognize and welcome the breadth of humanist ideas and vision in our local movement?  What programs might be suggested for the coming year to enhance our outreach?  What compelling global humanist message, methodology and community do we have to offer?

Come as early as 3pm to get a drink or bite to eat and socialize beforehand. Or join us as you are able to participate at 3:30 in the formal meeting and discussion.  The cafe has interesting and yummy bites and beverages for your enjoyment before and during the meeting.

Bad/non internet connection made me late to let the group know I'm not coming--weather & kids. Sorry.

Sorry folks, but I've changed my RSVP to "no." Something about this hurricane-like wind makes me feel I should stay home with my young kiddos and make sure they're cool through all this.

I believe that promoting humanism to every corner of the planet, to every culture would make the planet more safer and life would be easier to everyone and everywhere. I think it is good idea to make humanism inclusive with every culture.

I very much want to be part of the ongoing conversation, but that weekend I'll be attending a nonviolent training workshop in Luck, WI. I wasn't able to attend the April discussion either. Was that recorded?

No. This is intended as an ad hoc group. Looking for input and ideas.
