The third (and final) Freethought Picnic of the 2007 summer will be at the usual place in Columbia Park this Sunday, August 19th at Noon-3:00 PM. This one is hosted by Minnesota Atheists.
Lots of good conversation and music by the Freethought Band. Bring a dish to share and whatever drinks, plates and utensils you will need (this is basically a BYOStuff!). For more information and directions to the picnic site, visit the HofM website: humanistsofmn.org
Regular meetings resume in September. (September 22nd to be exact!) Look for the announcement coming soon!
Meet other local Humanists, people who believe in the basic goodness of the human spirit and that the best way to live your life is by the use of reason, critical thinking, empathy, compassion and real-world knowledge.
If you believe in those principles or are interested in learning about them or want to help others learn about humanism join us for our meetings, events and social times.
We usually have a regular chapter meeting on the 3rd Saturday of the month but will send out a reminder to members when the topic/speaker is set (or check the calendar!) In addition, there are many other smaller meetups during the month!
Meetings are open to anyone who is interested in humanism and wants to meet other humanists. But if you want to get the newsletter and financially support our outreach activities, we suggest you become an HofM member by going to humanistsofmn.org and join!
