November meeting -- Chili cook off and a preseason raffle

Let's end the month with a social get-together.

How many good cooks do we have?  Test your culinary skills with a chili cook off.  All variations welcome from vegan to super hot and spicy.

When you RSVP, please add if you will be bringing a chili dish.  If it's in a crockpot we'll try to have enough extension cords to keep everything warm.

While we are sampling we can also enjoy a pre-holiday raffle and some socializing.  I am sure there must be something you have tucked away that you no longer use.  Bring it along, it could make someone else very happy

Some of you already have one and others are considering it.  As a special treat we are fortunate to have Bouty Baldridge give us some insight into owning an electric car.

So, as the weather gets cooler let's warm up with things electric.  See you on the 24th.

As always soft drinks provided, BYOB.

great, very interesting and informative talk. So many variations of chili to sample. All that I had were very good. The raffle is always fun too. All in all, a very nice evening.

I'm concerned about the lack of desserts so I will make the trek from Myrtle Beach to ensure ya'll get a properly balanced meal. :D Looking forward to seeing everybody today!

Unfortunately, I'm still getting over a lingering illness (plus I'm behind on my grading), so I'm going have to back out for tomorrow. Have fun, everyone, and enjoy your Holidays!

I'm so sorry to cancel since I was hoping to enter a vegan chilli into the mix. I just moved into the house we bought this weekend and am overwhelmed by unpacking! Definitely looking forward to next years cook off. Enjoy.

Not being much of a cook, I will try to bring things of a Mexican persuasion that I like to eat with Chili like salsa, chips, tortillas and cheese.

I'll bring a couple bottle of wine--with screw on caps so we don't have to worry about a bottle opener. Screw on tops don't preclude good wine!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
