On the ninth anniversary of 9/11, Amjad Ali Khan gave a Peace Concert at the United Nations in New York in the presence of the UN Secretary General Ban-Ki-Moon.
This great Master of the instrument Sarod, Amjad Ali Khan will be performing Live in Baltimore on September 14th at 6 pm, at Shriver Hall, The Johns Hopkins University, 3400 North Charles Street.
Other notable artist who will perform are Ayaan Ali Khan and Amaan Ali Khan, Vineet Vyas and founding member of Sounds and Rhythms of Afghanistan, Salar Nader.
This concert is presented by Association for India's Development (AID) at Johns Hopkins University. AID has received Maryland Assembly citation for their exceptional service to humanitarian causes in India and their voluntary contribution. All the proceeds go towards developmental projects in India by AID.
Association for India’s Development presents an evening of Indian classical music with world renowned Sarod artist Amjad Ali Khan, one of the greatest musicians of north Indian classical music.
