FRESH Monthly Meeting

Frederick Secular Humanists

PLEASE NOTE: Due a schedule conflict at the library, we will be meeting on the THIRD Sunday during a joint meeting with the Frederick Unitarian Universalists.

Women in Secularism:  FRESH joins the Frederick UU AHA Group next month for a recap of the 2nd annual Women in Secularism conference, and a discussion of how issues of sexism and feminism impact the atheist/skeptic/humanist/freethought movement.

Why does feminism matter to humanists?
Why don't more women leave religion?
Who were the atheist/humanist women in history?
Is feminism an integral part of humanism?

These questions and more will be the focus of our June meeting: come join the discussion!

Contact Heatherly Hodges at [masked] for any questions or suggestions, or check out the FRESH webpage: http://fresh.wash.org.

I felt it went very well! I invited a friend to come along and she was quite impressed with the meeting, the presenter and the attendees. She wants to find out more about "us" secularists.
