Robert Ingersoll Gravesite visit and memorial ceremony

In 1932 on May 4, the Col. and Mrs. Ingersoll’s ashes were entered in Arlington National Cemetery. Join us as we visit the gravestone. Learn about the inscription:

“Nothing is grander than to break chains from the bodies of men — nothing nobler than to destroy the phantoms of the soul”.

Hear the story of four bills introduced in Congress to erect a statue of Ingersoll in Washington, DC.

Bring your favorite short quotation by Ingersoll to read aloud.

If it rains – come instead on Sunday, May 23 at noon.
