Weekly Freethinker's Forum

  • June 8, 2013 · 6:00 PM

Every Saturday evening we meet up to talk about current events from a Secular Humanist and Progressive Atheist perspective.

We cover a bit of everything from the separation of church & state, to the problematic things that religious fundamentalists do, to politics and human rights, and usually wrap up with an overview of the week's scientific breakthroughs and developments.

The presentation is facilitated by Jason Frye through a series of slides and videos. We carry on in a humorous, deep, irreverent, and fun fashion.

Our discussions are rarely boring, and often quite edgy. This is not merely a lecture: Everyone gets a chance to have their say!

The Bamboo Lounge & T-Deli has a diverse menu, and full bar.

We hope you can join us for a fantastic evening!

Had hoped to come to my first discussion tonight, but I can see by the clock on the wall that I will not be finished with my school on-line posting requirements in time to make it (this, after being "one with the books" since 7 a.m. today). I'm disappointed (in more than one way!) and hope to meet everyone soon.

well, come when you can, and we are going to be here probably until 9. WE have a massive amount of great stuff to cover and this is the type of thing that you can just pop into.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
