Thank you HASD for all your hard work in organizing and hosting the So Cal conference. This kind of event is a unique and valuable opportunity for us to meet all the speakers, learn more about the broader national community, and to share the day's events with one another. I hope all the volunteers are happy knowing that their hard work benefitted so many people. Personally, I always appreciate having the chance to learn from others while hanging out with my humanist buddies. "The heart of humanism" was a great topic... it's important to take time to remind ourselves why we devote time and energy to this movement, and to focus on what is truly important.

Who was the speaker who said something to the effect "...and there will always be laws against murder so long as people object to being murdered."

I am going to be late for the conference because i was suppose to be picked up by mike at 7am and he didn't show. So at 9am i am going to take the bus there from vista. If anyone at the conference is driving back to vista after the conference i would really appreciate a ride. I should be at the conference between 1130am and noon.
