Inherit the Wind- The Play

The Trial of the Century is upon us: So this sunday at *6* pm, we are doing Inherit the Wind.
Here is how this is going to work A few people have already been assigned roles. The bold and brash James Knott Jr. Is the firebrand Matthew Harrison Brady, The reflective Jason Frye is liberal secularist Henry Drummond, The Sassy Madeline Cohen is irrepressible E.K. Hornbeck, Jamin Szczesny is defendant Bertram Cates Kara Reikstins his doting girlfriend Rachel, and Jim Bruton her stern and stalwart father the good reverend Jeremiah Brown. We need other people to fill the other roles, and here is how it is happening. This is a no-pressure, participatory event. When you show up, which I hope that you will, we will be handing out name tags. There are 30 characters and everyone gets a chance to be someone in the town. That is what is different and exciting about this event. We come together as a community and take on the role of a southern town in the dramatized version of the scopes trial. The Joyce Beers Center is going to be set up like a court room and we will play it as such. There will be a projector showing the dialogue for everyone to jump in at their lines (the principle actors having scripts). This event is also going to be potluck and a lot of fun Sunday Feb 17th, 6pm Joyce Beers Center (next to Panera Bread-please park in the underground level) 1270 Cleveland Ave San Diego, CA 92103 Tell your friends, spread the word and see you sunday night

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
