Good discussions with other Humanists; and participation in our local, state, and hopefully national politics.
I have been a Humanist since I was a high school junior. I attended a Catholic high school but was never a "true" believer. I agreed with some of the moral teachings of Jesus but did not take any of the dogma's as absolute truth, a mean to "save my soul", or obtain "Eternal Salvation". It was only when I graduated in 2010 that I discovered there was a word for my belief system and Humanism is that word.
I am a 22 year old student currently pursuing a degree in political science with hopes of attending law school. Also I am a amateur MMA and Muay Thai Boxer who competes and coaches with dreams of one day becoming a professional fighter.
