Humanism is inspired by art

Humanism ... it's a rational philosophy ... growing in knowledge by methods of science ... motivated by compassion ... and inspired by art.
Art is not supernatural - it is a natural human enterprise. Good music is a treasured part of Humanism in art.
If we can get enough people together for Saturday evening June 21, we'll benefit from the lowest possible prices with a group reservation. The Mainly Mozart Festival Orchestra will perform at the newly restored Balboa theatre at Horton Plaza, a 1926 beauty brought back to new life at a cost of $27 million.
You'll enjoy an evening of Mozart and Richard Strauss from this fine orchestra conducted by the renowned David Atherton. Before the concert, David Cole will give a lecture. Come and enjoy an evening of great music with the Humanists.
The more people sign up, the better our seats will be and the lower the price. Will you commit $20 to join this outing? Many people from the community will be paying $100 to be there.
All Humanists and their friends are welcome. Call Susi at[masked]-4159.

It is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is
than to persist in delusion,
however satisfying and reassuring.
