Supreme Court: 9th Circuit Was Right! Humanist Association's Paulson won.

From: Jason F.

Phil Paulson, former HASD president and Soledad plaintiff was victorious.

The USSC refused to grant a writ of cert to those challenging the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling that the Mt Soledad Cross was unconstitutional. This means that the government now recognizes that the Mt Soledad Easter Sunrise Cross is an unconstitutional endorsement of religion.

Philip Paulson, a Vietnam veteran had joined Howard Kreisner's case against the City of San Diego's maintenance of the constitutional violating Easter Sunrise Cross. Though he received threats, Paulson kept up the good fight, and was once refused by the Court himself. Phil had been with the Humanist Association until his death in 2006.

This would have made Phil happy.
