Just a comment. For the Newsletter; do you sometimes ask Questions to stimulate discussion?
As an educator/counselor I used that a lot to get away from 'me' being the 'teacher' and instead, being the "Inspirer of Thought"
My Questions would be; "What IF: humans had not stumbled on "civilization, where someone is 'better than' someone else And What IF; humans had never invented 'monotheism' ??? What if we had Missed the last 5 to 10,000 years of "development, and continued on our merry way into something other than 'western civ' and an ol' supreme man (with no woman required to birth us)?
Just some thoughts. steve : )

Jason here with a quick bulletin.
Sorry that there was no secular news this weekend. I have been in intensive Humanist study because next weekend (6,7,8, & 9) I will be in Washington D.C. for a series of Humanist Philosophy and Leadership classes. There will be secular news this week as well as a really awesome Coffee & Conversation. That is also why there wasn't a podcast. But there will be one this weekend.
Secondly, if you haven't attended yet, come to the freethought books club tuesday (7pm t-Deli 1469 University). We are doing Bertrand Russell's Why I am not a Christian and Other Essays.
Third, this coming Monday I am going to be putting out our first newsletter in ages. If you have anything that you would like to submit, please send it to me by Sunday afternoon. This is going to be an e-format to save paper and costs on stamps.
Fourth, we will be having our first meeting of the homeless outreach committee soon.
see you saturday at C&C, see you tuesday at the book club, and please submit something to the newsletter.
