My additions to Shannon’s goals would include:
    (4) Choose an overall theme
    (5) Get a locally-well-known Emcee, probably a comedian
    (6) Get a local, excellent scientific/evidence-based speaker related to theme
    (7) Get a tech-savvy music director in addition to the band
    (8) Get an experienced event/theater director
    (9) Get a tech-savvy marketing person to drive signups and media exposure
    (10) Identify / recruit an active liaison with all local active secular/humanist/atheist/agnostic/skeptical/ethical groups
