Humanist Contemplatives focus on self improvement, introspection, and pursuing eudaimonia (the flourishing, good life). Some may meditate or engage in other contemplative practices. They seek to experience the profound in the arts and explore new ideas and traditional inspirations on spirituality in a naturalistic context. They strive to be virtuous and compassionate in character. Humanist Contemplatives are Humanists with a particular focus on the personal aspects of a life practice. Major influences include Stoicism, philosophical Buddhism, the Enlightenment, and more.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A HUMANIST TO JOIN THIS GROUP.
All faiths are welcome here. We will more often be discussing words of wisdom and practices helpful to all people, from ancient philosophy to contemplative practices, to modern ideas and more.

What members are saying
“ This is for those that are inclined for heady topics and discussions. People looking for more intellectual discussions and a higher level of interactions with people, this is your spot. ”
“ Those who are sick and tired of 'boring' need to get out and talk.... You can't catch fish if you don't go to the fishing hole! ”
