Member groups of The San Diego Coalition of Reason (like us, the Humanist Fellowship) are raising money for a very important cause: finding better treatments and cures for blood cancers so patients can live better, longer lives.

When you donate to our team (San Diego Coalition of Reason), every dollar will be matched by the Stiefel Freethought Foundation (up to $250,000).

The Light The Night Walk is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's annual fundraising walk to pay tribute and bring hope to people battling cancer. The walks are short and easy... more of a celebration with survivors, their family and friends, and others hoping to help.

LLS invests in the best, outcome based science... anywhere, with no geographic or institutional boundaries and without profit incentive.

No financial commitment is required to join a team, or participate in the walk on Friday, November 8th. In fact, some people just like to send a check and skip the walk altogether. The walk is very short... just around Petco Park a couple times... but at night with a lot of cheering for you, our donors! Plus, there is a family friendly festival before the walk at Park at the Park.

There is another team participating this year from San Diego... Humanity on Call. Wherever you donate... just do it!!

A few dollars today can help save lives tomorrow. Thanks for your support!

There are thousands of people there, so it is hard to find individuals arriving separately. I am busy with Sunday Assembly, so will be there when I can. When you check in via smart phone, you can let people know where your are. I'd like to get there early too. Just don't want to stand in one place while people filter in one by one. I thought I'd try to make a point of looking for people at 6 since that is when the remembrance ceremony begins. So... I'll probably see you before then!
