SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

KIDS PROGRAM

Full registration ($299) includes EVERYTHING, including banquet meals during which we all enjoy seated meals and awards presentations. Single session and day rates are available, and there are still some tickets left for some of the lunch and dinner banquets (during which awards and acceptance speeches are given). Rates may be higher at the door.

The opportunity to register online is no longer available. The staff from the east coast is now in San Diego. Registration will be at the Bahia... open 8 am to 8 pm, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and 8 am to 12 noon on Sunday.

There is a free program on Friday, 3:15 - dancing with Matt Harding, and on Sunday, at 10:30, the keynote address by physicist Sean Carroll of Caltech. There is also a day camp for kids, Friday morning through Sunday afternoon. Full details will be at the registration desk.

I hope to see you there!!

You can call the phone number listed at the main registration site. They will give you a password so you can sign up for just one day. I paid $60 for all day Saturday. Also, they have added some free sessions on Sunday.

Hi Barb. I started announcing this conference over one year ago so people would have a chance to save their pennies. Without banquet meals it is "only" $199... or was. Single sessions are $20, and as Rebecca noted, there is one free event on Friday, and one free event on Sunday. This information is on the American Humanist Association conference website.

Does anyone have more information on the kids humanist program that will be offered around june 1st? Thanks for your time

You need to go to the conference website and go to the link for the kids program. There is some VERY general information there. You do not have to be going to the conference to enroll your kids in the Camp Quest West program. They want to introduce you to the camp... no matter what. All activities will be at the Bahia, although, I do think they are taking a trip to the Children's Museum on Saturday. FULL DETAILS will be at the Registration table which is open 8 am to 8 pm EVERY DAY of the conference.

You can no longer enroll anyone for anything online. That process ended last Friday. The entire east coast humanist office is traveling to San Diego (now), and will be setting up shop at the Bahia hotel.

Will volunteers have the opportunity to sit in on some sessions?

This is such an awesome opportunity. Most people can't attend because it means airfare and hotel accommodation expenses on top of the conference fee. Having met with the organizers in New Orleans this past week I know that they are very receptive of our suggestions for lecturers, entertainers, family events, award winners, etc. Let me know if you have any suggestions!!
