Join our Wednesday southwest walk for health and humanism at Washington Square Mall.
Please change your RSVP if you can't make it; due to rising gasoline costs for the host, the walk may be cancelled if no walkers have signed up on a particular week.
Why do mall walks start so early? So we don't run down the shoppers who arrive when the stores open, of course! This is the rainy season alternate to the westside walk in the park -- and, we are family friendly!
Do you have a Darwin/humanism/freethought T-shirt? Remember to wear it so we can spread a little science and reason as we walk.
Park near the Washington Square Transit Center bus stop. We'll be at the tables in front of Dick's Sporting Goods (not the food court.)
Plan to arrive a few minutes early so we can make introductions and be ready to start the walk together at a warm-up pace shortly after 9:15, when we can pair up according to our walking rates, if that works for you.
After ~45 minutes of walking and talking, we'll return to our table for something caffeinated and to continue the conversation.
Teens, and older children with adult supervision are welcome, as are little ones in strollers.
Members who can't come for the walk are invited to join us for the coffee hour at 10:00 AM. Let us know in your RSVP if you are only coming for coffee.
To get the Event Host's cell number in case you can't find us, email them from their member page before the activity by clicking on their icon.
This is a joint activity with Center for Inquiry.
We look forward to seeing you -- bring a friend!
