Fossil Fuel Threats to the Columbia Gorge

Presentation by Ryan Rittenhouse.

Coal and oil corporations have proposed a tenfold increase of shipments through the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area and surrounding communities. These projects pose numerous threats beyond global warming -- including local impacts related to environmental damage, public health, and potential disasters.
We can stop these proposals. Find out how you can help make a difference.

Ryan Rittenhouse is an environmental organizer. He is with the Friends of the Columbia Gorge. For six years prior to moving to Oregon, he worked with Public Citizen and Greenpeace in Texas. His work included fights over the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline and a nuclear plant expansion. He has a degree from Allegheny College in Pennsylvania and he has worked as an independent film maker.

We make it worth your while to get up early on Sunday morning.  =-)
