Why Are We Here?

Presentation by Paul Wathen.

Existence can be thought of as a four-dimensional metaphysical space in which human consciousness is the lynchpin. This model has profound implications for discovering who we are, and it also leads to some crucial paradoxes. Unraveling them leads to a new understanding of how we’re all interconnected, and to a powerful way of understanding why we exist at all.

Mr. Wathen has worked as an editor, television production manager, and as a certified public accountant for 30 years. Eight years ago, he was diagnosed with cancer. This has made him wonder what it’s all about. His presentation summarizes the conclusions he’s come to so far.

We make it worth your while to get up early on Sunday morning.  =-)

There is so much to do in the world right now: Murder and war to be stopped, Ebola fever to be extinguished, Incredible poverty to be alleviated, Human rights and voting rights to be protected, and on and on.
These are political things not spiritual things. But why do Atheists (Humanists) avoid the political, and spend so much time and brainpower on that which does not, has not, nor ever will exist?

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
