Hi Everyone, Lit Up Singapore is an event focused on promoting different literary arts and local artists in Singapore. I went last year to a poetry performance and I really enjoyed it, so I thought some of you might like to join me this year. There are events all week long from the 16th through the 23rd, so check out the website, http://www.litup.sg to see if there's anything else that might interest you. Here's the one for Sunday evening:
8.00pm 09.00pm Poetry Alive!
Black Box at Goodman Arts Centre featuring Arianna & Lara (Canada)
9.00pm 10.00pm '3how' event combines live music, narrated text, theatre, poetry, tweets and comedy by Wilson Goh, Mel Araneta, John Banta, Bani Haykal, Amith Narayan, John Low and Stephen Black.
There's actually another performance from 6:30-7:30 that I won't be able to make it to because of my work schedule. The main event I'm interested in going to is the poetry performance at 8 because a good friend of mine is one of the featured artists, and she always proves to be very entertaining and well worth watching. Anyone who's interested can meet me there at 7:30pm, and afterwards we can decide if we want to stay for the next performance, or if anyone is up to it we can go for drinks or a bite to eat. Check back for details on a specific meeting place where we can find each other. Hope to see you there!
