I'm looking to make some friends and keep myself busy
Post-modern, Science Fiction, Dirty Realism, Magical Realism, Historic novels. I have read everything that Kurt Vonnegut has written. I love him, but I am loathe to say that he is my favourite author, as it might connote that I think he is "the best" author in any particular style. He just makes me laugh. If we have to leave behind one book, it should be Galapagos. David Mitchell (cloud atlas etc.) and Patrick Neate (Twelve Bar Blues) are by far the most enjoyable writers I have encountered. A decade apart, but with a very similar style which is both intelligent and gripping, dealing with time and existentialism in a way that doesn't confuse. I hope I will be introduced to some new books and be able to listen to what other people think about books I have read already.
Film also has a place in my heart!
Hi I just arrived in Singapore, I work in Finance and I've come here from London. I'm 30 years old, studied English at Kings College and Anthropology and UCL.
