I need a hobby, kind of, so might as well start reading stuff. Gonna complete that list floating around facebook someday, should be fun :)
Just need a hobby, and it's more fun to read something if you get to discuss it later on.
Mostly science fiction and fantasy. Favorite writers include U K Le Guin, Heinlan, and Asimov. Salman Rushdie has some nice stuff, really like his writing style. I missed the one on Catch-22. That was a good book, although I couldn't get past "Closing Time". Haven't read any of the new popular stuff.
People are friendly and outspoken, mostly. The group this time was rather too large for this this time around, but maybe we could give a bit more time to going "round the table" for opinions. There were a lot of people who didn't speak their mind. Also, while I understand that some people might just want to read, but it would be nice to do a little sort of introduction at the start before we do the discussion proper, as it's really hard to attribute an opinion to a person with just a face and not a name.
