Our group is all about finding friends and planning fun activities for the Stay-at-Home Mom in Huntersville. We do this by having events for moms and their children that include:
ABOUT US:
Birthdays - Please take a minute and send your birthday (you don't have to include the year) to the organizer. We like to wish you a Happy Birthday by adding it to our calendar.
Courtesy - We know that sometimes things come up but when they do we ask that you update your rsvp. No one wants to be stood up at an event or have a playdate that no one shows up for.
Dinners for New Moms - We will provide dinners for new moms after they give birth. The meals are provided by volunteers from our group. Please let the organizer or assistant organizers know if you are expecting or if you would like to help provide a dinner for a new mom.
Membership Dues - Membership dues are $15 and are collected once a year or at the time of joining. For new members they are due within two weeks of joining the group, if you do not pay by that time, you will be removed from the group. These dues are used to help the organizer offset the cost of the website and any additional amount will be used toward our semi-annual parties and other member benefits. If a member is removed or decides to leave the group, they will not receive a refund of their dues. Dues can be given to the organizer or assistant organizers at an event or paid through paypal (preferred method). If you have any questions regarding dues, please contact Anne.
Group Guest Policy
* Please do not bring guests to playdates at someone's home. Most home playdates allow a limited amount of people and we want our members to be able to attend these meetups.
* If you are introducing another mom and kids to our group, please bring them to one event only. After one event, we'd like that mom to join the group herself. We provide two week free membership to new
members and we are a dues-based group. It is only fair that those attending our meetups share in the costs of running the group.
* If you have guests from out of town visiting you, please feel free to bring them to events not mentioned above. We love to see the grandparents and friends at group outings!
It is mandatory for all members to host ONE event during the membership year (June 08-June 09). It can be a playdate, pool playdate, Moms Night In, or anything else you'd like to host. If you have concerns about hosting an event at your home, you can also host an event at a park or other location.
Message Board - Please use the Message Board for anything mom related. We have a great group of women who are always willing to listen and offer suggestions.
Participation - We ask that you access the website or attend an event at least once a month. This lets us know you have interest in the group and the events. Please take the time to rsvp, this will help us with planning future events. Once you have attended an event, please rate the event and the venue so we know the interests of the members and can schedule events accordingly. If you become inactive (do not visit the website and attend an event) for over a month, you will be removed from the group without a refund of dues.
Suggestions - Please contact the organizer if you have suggestions on where and when you would like to have a meetup or anything that you think would benefit the group. We appreciate your suggestions!
