Models RSVP ONLY - Action in the Horse World 2

This is our second time to shoot at this location.  Here is your second chance to pose with some magnificent horses thanks to Lucky Orphans Horse Rescue.  There are about 40 horses to choose from.  You can see many of them on the Lucky Orphans Horse Rescue website at http://www.luckyorphanshorserescue.org/.  If you need a specific colored horse for your idea you can request it.  There will be horse handlers to assist with the horses.  Anyone planning to pose on a horse will need to sign a separate waiver with the Rescue.  No riding experience is needed to pose on a horse.  The horses are very cooperative and will allow people to sit, stand,  or lay on them but do so at your own risk.  New York State does recommend wearing head safety gear but we will not be monitoring it so if you'd like to pose on a horse with no helmet that's up to you as long as your waiver is signed.

There will be a horse safety guideline printed for reference.

Although these horses are flash friendly let's try not to go crazy with multiple flash setups near the same horse going off at once.  Let's practice EXTREME courtesy and shoot one at a time when using flash.

The Rescue is primarily funded through their programs and donations so they are always grateful for any financial assistance.  You can visit their website for ways you can help them out.  We raised $600 for them last time we went there.  It would be amazing if we can beat that this year!

Shortline bus runs from port authority to monticello which gets you close. metro north will leave you in port jervis which is kind of out of the way.

I've been working with horses since I was 4. I had a great time the 2 times that I was on horses yesterday. Working with the few HVclick photographers that were at this meet, is always fun. Having NO MUHA , we all did very well with making ourselves beautiful.

Hi. Do you guys bring costumes and props, or would the models be expected to have their own stuff? Also, is it required to hire your hair and makeup artists?

hi there! Are we required to hire your make up and hair artists?

If course not. But if you do at the check-in table you have to pay me $5. Per service. If you chose to get it done elsewhere, all I ask is that you know the name of the person who did its it.
