Breakneck Ridge *SUNSET HIKE*

***FAST HIKE, NOT FOR BEGINNERS***

Let's blow off some steam after paying off Uncle Sam!

Going up white trail, red to yellow.  Some of us may scale the face (level 4 scramble off-trail to the right of the white trail) but we will meet at the flagpole.

Total distance is 4 miles approx. and we expect to finish in 2 hours or less.  The elevation gain is almost 1600' so be prepared to climb, especially in the steep beginning.

Bring a headlamp, snack, your favorite beverage (glass containers not recommended).

Whistling Willies for brews and grub after the hike.

Park in the large lot 0.2 miles NORTH of the
Tunnel on Rt. 9D in Cold Spring :

If anyone needs a ride from Cold Spring train station, let  me know.

Great hike with a great group as usual. The bushwhack to Sugarloaf just in time for the sunset was perfect. Kudos to Donald for hosting the keg party including red Solo cups in the Breakneck Parking Lot (also it was his 70th HVH meetup...congrats!).
