Breakneck Ridge *SUNSET HIKE*

***FAST HIKE, NOT FOR BEGINNERS***

Going up white trail, red to yellow.  Some of us may scale the face (level 4 scramble off-trail to the right of the white trail) but we will meet at the flagpole.

Total distance is 4 miles approx. and we expect to finish in 2 hours or less.  The elevation gain is almost 1600' so be prepared to climb, especially in the steep beginning.

Bring a headlamp, snack, your favorite beverage (glass containers not recommended).

Whistling Willies for brews and grub after the hike.

Park in the large lot 0.2 miles NORTH of the
Tunnel on Rt. 9D in Cold Spring :

Great hike, guys. We finished in 90 minutes which is a new record for me. Those nachos at Willies are serious!

Bring your windbreakers! 25 MPH winds gusting to almost 40 MPH. Temps will be in the high 40s so it won't be too cold. See you all there!

Thanks for leading the hike and for the wind posting - I went home to get my jacket and it was worth it.
