This is a 8 mile, one-way paddle. I will have a car already spotted at the North end so no need to worry about that!

The Wallkill river is calm, gentle flowing river.

**The Wallkill River shares with great rivers like the Nile and the Rhine the unique distinction of northward flow. This quiet river eventually feeds into the Hudson River

8 miles on meandering Wallkill River through historic towns. Flat water, slow current, little tree coverage. Conclude with pastries on Perrine’s Bridge

I am looking for a beginner level hike to start with--how does one determine the hike level?

    May 22

    • Chris B.

This would be a very difficult hike, it would be like treading water for hours.
