Thanks, everyone! What a great birthday! I couldn't have asked for anything better for my 21st birthday: to be able to hike again, to drink and eat tacos with you fine folks. :-)

Great tacos, great people, Janine's birthday (Happy Birthday again!), towers of IPA...how could it be better? Oh, yeah, hiking. And maybe some bean tacos.

Although I haplessly missed the throughway exit and therefore did only half the hike and did not summit, I am happy to have witnessed the Scott Manning apparition (complete with bagpipes), which will undoubtedly go down in HVH Taco Tuesday history as a legendary moment.

Anything could happen on a Taco Tuesday. Thanks, Jesse, for a great event!

I took a vote and here's the results:

    Me: 1

This is now Southwest Hunter. Less miles + less elevation + less driving = MORE TACOS!

Awaiting word from a number of sources - if Route 42 is still closed we will switch to Southwest Hunter. Proximity to tacos. :)

I vote for SWH. But as long as I get some tacos, it's all good (I realized yesterday that I was excited about a Taco Tuesday, but did not know which mountain I was climbing...).

Yeah....no. I don't really miss canisters. Nice try though. :-)

Just contemplating what a combo taco Tuesday would be with a thru hiker appetite. Next HVH AT Thru hiker should be taken to Taco Tuesday - all record will be shattered that day.

Woooooo! A reason to eat even more tacos. And also ... we can celebrate Janine's (second) return to Taco Tuesdays. All is right with the world. :)
