Catskills: Wittenberg-Cornell-Slide loop with stop @ pretty viewpoint!

* VIEWS VIEWS and more VIEWS*

We will do the Witt-Cornell-Slide loop with a little spur to visit THE PRETTIEST VIEW IN THE CATS on the new LP!

The total distance is approximately 18 miles and the vertical is roughly 4000'. Although this is a long hike we will definitely stop to savor the views!

Prettiest view in the Catskills? YESS!

After the little side-excursion, we proceed on to Wittenberg-Cornell-Slide, where we see more stunning views on top of Wittenberg and Slide!

Classic Wittenberg view

After we descend Slide, we walk along the road for approx 2 miles, then we are back on trail towards Woodland Valley

brent, in the event brad is unable to scoop me up, can i meet you somewhere along the way for a ride as well?

According to this page the hike is 14 miles (4th option)

    http://www.catskillhiker.net/Catskill35/peaks/slide.shtml

I also saw a picture of trail head which puts slide mountain at 7 miles from the parking. So the roundtrip of 14 miles makes sense. http://albanyrunner.blogspot.com/2014/06/catskill-3500-hike-review-slide-cornell.html
