What are the core mental programms guiding us?

Neurolinguistic programming (sourcing knowledge by modelling hypnotherapist Milton Erickson, among others) has studied and verbalised what is called metaprogramms, different categories of internal "programms" or "patterns" which guide our way of perceiving and acting in a situation. Beeing more aware of them helps to get more balance in life. For example, if I am only refering to the outer world, to other people's way of seeing life, I might live in disharmony to my own needs and values. We might even have forgotten what really matters to us or worse, never have been aware of it.

As Steve Job said it well: “Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

That is one of the metaprogramms and there are much more.

I am looking forward to sharing the evening together.
Warm Regards, Philipp

Thank you Philipp! this was quite a tough topic and I have been thinking a lot. I think this morning, I started to see some points and this makes sense to me now.
But mostly, thanks for this great hypnosis experience, it was really very interesting and tought me a lot. I didn't think I could relax in front of a group, but you lead the mediation/hypnosis really so well that it makes it possible.thank you very much for that.
