IDEA2008: Cross-disciplinary Design Conference, Chicago, IL, October 7-8

My name is Whitney Hess, I’m a user experience designer in NYC, and I volunteer for the Information Architecture Institute.
The IAI is hosting its annual IDEA Conference in Chicago, Oct 7-8. IDEA stands for Information: Design, Experience & Access, and the conference will focus on designing in complex information spaces both on- and offline. I thought that members of the NYC IA Meetup group might be interested in attending.
We have a terrific roster of presenters this year, including Jason Fried, Jesse James Garrett, David Armano, Dave Gray, Andrew Hinton, and others. They will be speaking on topics related to user experience design, information architecture, the bridges between physical and digital information spaces, etc. In short, it's the type of conference that inspires and re-energizes all types of designers.
