My client, a major e-commerce site, is seeking a Content Engineer/Web Developer to work on their site enhancements.

Position: Content Engineer / Web Developer - Enhancements

The Content Engineer / Web Developer is responsible for programming the e-commerce site user interface and ultimately contributing to a high quality customer experience on the website.

Key Accountabilities:
· Develop and design the presentation layer of the website, ensuring pages are programmed error-free, cross-browser, cross-platform and optimized for download performance

· Stay current with the newest online technologies; research new technologies and make recommendations on implementations

· Collaborate effectively with content engineering team as well as creative, marketing, merchandising and server engineering teams; provide technical advice and guidance about template design, browser limitations and technology

· Assist in quality assurance performance on all new code from inception through integration, staging and production environments


BA/BS in Computer Science, IT or related field
3 years minimum professional Internet work experience
Ability to demonstrate previous work experience via URLs
Experience with Java technologies (JSP, J2EE, or Taglibs, etc.)
Experience with MVC frameworks (Spring MVC, or Struts, etc.)
Experience with Version Control systems (CVS, or Clearcase, etc)
Familiarity with AJAX
Experience with browser-based technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, etc.)
Knowledge of cross-browser, cross-platform and design constraints on the web
Working knowledge of XML technologies (XSLT, XPATH, XML, etc.)
Strong attention to detail
Ability to handle multiple projects effectively
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Strong interpersonal, presentation, and persuasion skills
