User Experience Architect for Top Online Recruitment Site (Direct Hire, New York, NY)
Title: User Experience Architect
Client: Leading Executive Recruitment Site
Type: Direct Hire
Location: New York City
A powerhouse in the world of online executive recruiting, this Hired Guns client needs a User Experience Architect to champion best practices across the development organization. You will play an essential role in defining and developing the user experience of the company's Web properties, so we really need a Gun who can be a true leader in architecting effective user-centered design.
You have worked on a wide array of online products including marketing-oriented B2C, social networking, and B2B sites. You've done it all, so you know how to keep it simple while still providing extensive functionality. Since you'll be tasked with continually identifying new opportunities to improve the user experience, you should be an exceptional problem solver and a creative visionary.
You'll need a strong background in the development of Web-based products and services as well as exceptional wireframing skills, and you must have that blend of business and technical savvy that makes you comfortable working directly with product, creative, and technical engineering teams. We're looking for 5+ years as an Information Architect, extensive experience conducting all user-centered design activities (competitor testing/analysis, task analysis, end user profiling, UI design, usability testing, etc.), along with a strong knowledge of site design and a mastery in principles of Web design (HCI, HTML, CSS).
As the UX Architect, you will be working with project teams to design user interfaces utilizing user-centered design techniques, as well as with business owners and product managers to create goals and help define strategy and features for design of the site. You will design the entire user experience as it relates to a particular project -- or program of projects -- by creating wireframes, site maps, schematics, process maps, feature lists, mockups, visual specifications, working prototypes and other artifacts to describe the intended user experience. Also, be ready to analyze audiences -- their profiles and functional needs -- and present your findings clearly and eloquently. Finally, you will manage ongoing changes to product implementation in response to analysis and market changes.
We've outlined the extensive work we expect this Gun to come to us with, but the real kicker? You must be a Visio guru.
This is a great chance to work with an industry leader.
