UX Community Study & Work Night

  • Mar 10, 2014 · 7:00 PM

UX Peeps,

Bring your laptops, sketches, post-its and something to work on (e.g. projects, setting up user testing, etc.).

UX Community Study & Work Night takes place every Monday at 7pm at Coloft. Anybody is welcome. Please come hoping to work with your UX peers, other interesting people, learn something, teach someone, and make new friends in the LA tech community. Also, the Civic Hackers group will be at Coloft and working away on their projects.

Feel free to bring friends, co-workers, your mentor or those you are collaborating with.

At the beginning of the event, each person will introduce himself or herself. Please tell everyone what project you are working on and what kind of help you might need. After that, please tell everyone how you may be able to help them. If you are new to UX and plan to study during this time, you can begin by watching our past events on video. You are also welcome to bring your own material.

We do NOT have a food and beverage sponsor for the gathering. You are welcome to bring your own food though. Please clean up your work area before you leave Coloft too.

⥤ Remember, no food or beverages will be served. ⥢

Can't wait to see you there!

UX Office Hours will be provided by
Skot Carruth, Lara Fedoroff and Crystal Ehrlich. A sign up sheet will be available at the event. Each session is 20 minutes long and appointments are on a first-come, first-serve basis.

LA-UX mentors were great. Friendly and generous with ideas. Going back soon.

    Hey guys,

I am a UX Designer who came to the meetup late but would love to help anyone who is in need of UX or design help. I recently got a job in LA and thought it would be cool to meet others who need some UX help. Feel free to email me.

I'm still recovering from the Global Service Design Jam over the weekend, as well as a symposium from Friday, so I don't think I can make it tonight. :( I'm not sure how the RSVPing works, since I do very much want to make the subsequent ones.

We were NOT able to get a food and beverage sponsor for the evening of Monday, March 10. Please bring something for everyone to share, or eat before you come to Coloft or eat after UX Community Study & Work Night, maybe with some new folks you connected with during the evening. ⥤ Remember, no food or beverages will be served. ⥢

Also, Meetup.com (the entire site) was under a denial of service attack for the past few days. The site platform seems to be more stable now.

At the beginning of tonight's UX Community Study & Work Night at Coloft, each person will introduce himself or herself. Please tell everyone little bit about what project you are working on and what kind of help you might need. After that, please tell everyone how you may be able to help them. The goal is to work on projects or study and help instant help from other community members, if you need it.

I'll be on my way to India for a wedding, but if you're interested in learning more or helping out with TicketFree.co, please find Renato at Coloft...
