UX Community Study & Work Night (Part of Community Hack Night)

  • April 7, 2014 · 7:00 PM

UX Peeps,

Bring your laptops, sketches, post-its and something to work on (e.g. projects, setting up user testing, etc.).

UX Community Study & Work Night takes place every Monday at 7pm at Coloft. Please come hoping to work with your UX peers, learn something, teach someone, and make new friends in the community. Also, the Civic Hackers group will be at Coloft and working away on their projects.

Feel free to bring friends, co-workers, your mentor or those you are collaborating with.

We will meet in one of the conference rooms to kick off the gathering. At the beginning of the event, each person will introduce himself or herself. Please tell everyone what project you are working on and what kind of help you might need. After that, please tell everyone how you may be able to help them. If you are new to UX and plan to study during this time, you can begin by watching our past events on video. You are also welcome to bring your own material.

We do NOT have a food and beverage sponsor for the gathering. You are welcome to bring your own food though. Please clean up your work area before you leave Coloft too.

⥤ Remember, no food or beverages will be served. ⥢

Can't wait to see you there!

See the second to last sentence regarding the self-organizing skills mentioned in the principals behind the Agile Manifesto. http://agilemanifesto.org/principles.html

Hi Folks, as you may know, we put on a huge event this weekend and are now recovering from the months of hard work. So, tonight's gathering will be a "no host" event. Please help each other with your projects. For those of you who have been a few times, please go out of your way to welcome the new peeps, ask them what kind of help they might need and let them know what kind of help you are looking for. The ability to self-organize (see the Principles behind the Agile Manifesto) is an important one. Please work on your self-organizing team skills.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
