Yep. Jeffrey Potter www.jbrianpotter.com
Got very interested in Wayfinding- the science of Signage in public spaces. This field has a lot to teach us about web navigation as well. I love creative collaboration. UX is very exciting and interesting to me, and where the industry is going. There also seems to be a great out pouring of support and sharing of skills and practices.
I'd like a walk through of some of the major tent poles of UX- Prototyping, Journey Mapping, Wireframes, personas, scenarios, etc. I'd like to hear what employers are looking for and how to present myself and my work to a non-UXer so that they understand and see the value. I'd like to ramp up my development chops quickly and know better how to communicate with developers. A Book Club would be useful, too, to force us to keep studying the topic and new advances as they develop.
So I'm a Graphic Designer, with 5 years Print Experience and 1 year with Web experience simultaneously moving to Los Angeles and the Ux Field. Anxious to learn new skills and meet people in this community!
