Re: [ia-55] With iRise on the horizon, anyone got any comments on Axure?

axure has been around for a bit longer, so it seems less buggy than some of the other tools out there.
also seems easier to draw using it and is relatively inexpensive (~$500).

A distant coworker (another part of the company, does desktop apps) is using Axure and enjoying it.  He did a demo for our web team, and it looked pretty good for putting together basic UI prototypes.  You can't really embed smarts the way you can with iRise, but you can still build in alternate paths.

I have also heard good things from some other IAs in the area who have used Axure.

Axure is very much a tool for you to use to do your thing, whereas iRise (and some of the other biggies) is a tool for the entire team to use together to do lots of things.

Anybody on the list using Axure and want to comment?

Thanks,
Weston
