Fandango is looking for a contract mid-to-senior level UX/UI designer to join our UX team and help us with some of our initiatives. Its a great opportunity to work on a variety of platforms (web, mobile, social) with a strong brand in entertainment. The contract will be for a couple of months but might be expanded if the relationship is beneficial. This contract requires working on site in our offices in West Los Angeles. Strong background in user interface design and development with proven ability to create functional and usable interfaces, as well as good diagramming skills and information design experience developing deliverables and documentation to communicate user experience design elements, flows, interaction and functionalities.
Proven experience with different IA deliverables (annotated wireframes, flow diagrams, sitemaps, design patterns, etc), and the ability to adapt them to different uses, projects and constraints.
Proven track record owning or playing a majority role in the user experience/interaction design of a project or product.
The ability to work cooperatively and constructively with many stakeholders, both inside and outside of the organization. The ability to foster long-term partnerships with colleagues both senior and junior, and the strength to receive feedback gracefully and
Ability to synthesize and communicate the implications of user research findings and business requirements to the user experience design process, as well as conceptualize the structure and functionality of the user experience with user needs and business goals in mind.
Analytical problem-solving skills, excellent writing and presentation skills with experience in outlining functional specifications and content requirements concurrently with interface design.
A portfolio of projects including project deliverables and finished products, as well as past experience or academic achievement in the areas of user research and/or design methods focusing on user experience design.
Desirable experience with social applications, multi-platform projects, media delivery applications for consumer audiences, and projects which require handling large volumes of complex information.
Demonstrate knowledge of web standards and
Experience using software tools on either Mac or Windows platforms including OmniGraffle, Visio, Illustrator, Photoshop, Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint to create IA deliverables, or the ability to quickly learn how to use new tools and methods.
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Sciences, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Psychology, Human Factors, Business or related discipline from accredited university required. Graduate study a plus.
