Online Survey Best Practices

From: Monique E.

Hi there,

Anyone have research/experience with online survey best practices? No one likes to take them, I know, especially without an incentive (the case on this project). My gut is that an in-your-face pop-up is going to get more responses than a link people have to click. Also, the fewer the questions, the more likely the completion rate. Of course getting the business folks to see that is an uphill battle since every group wants one of their questions on the survey...

Anybody have some research links they can send my way to back any of the above?
