The Sarasota IBD Investors Meetup Group is an educational group designed to make members more informed investors. We welcome everyone to this Sarasota IBD Meet-Up Group.

We talk about sections in the IBD newspaper which are likely places to find good companies with the kind of solid characteristics that make a good investment.

One area where most investors fail to perform due diligence before buying a stock is examining the financial reports. The Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements can provide information about a company that can't be found anywhere else. We look at several pieces of information that show if a company is really making money and is worthy of our investment dollars or if it's a dog and should be avoided. We also use other on-line tools to aid us in our search.

Only by examining the financial reports and knowing what to look for can we find this out. We'll teach When to Buy, When to Hold or Sell, and How to find the best stocks to Buy.
